With the big fish catching ability of original “Fish Stick”, it seemed only fitting to make a larger version that may not only appeal to larger fish, but be able to run in the large chop of some of the trophy muskie waters such as Mille Lacs and others. So comes the “Fish Stick HD”. The HD is for Heavy Duty! The 8 1/4" walk-the-dog bait is weighted for easy action yet light enough to be used in waves larger than any of the competition. We’re talking about four footers! Construction is virtually the same as the original size “Fish Stick” with 1 ½" stainless steel screw eyes, 2" in the rear, finishing washers on all, but with three Eagle Claw 774 4/0 treble hooks hung from Wolverine “Triple Rings”. Light epoxy clear coat reduces weight for better buoyancy. This bait has also taken fish up to 55"! Now that is serious topwater fishing.

The “Fish Stick HD” is the go to choice for early and late season, cold fronts, heavy weeds, and throw back bait. Remember to work bait at a medium speed keeping the “footprint” or path of the bait narrow for better hooking. Recommended rod length for proper action is a 7' to 7' 6" stick. Another tip for best action is to use a single strand 174 pound or heavy flouorocarbon without a swivel on the other end. The swivel adds unneeded weight to the front of the lure. Also, don’t be afraid to use this lure in two to four foot waves!
